Winter in the Adirondacks

Being located within the Garnet Hill Community, a 635-acre private community, it boasts exceptional year-round recreational activities. Garnet Hill Cross Country Ski Center is rated one of the top 10 centers in the country. There are 55 KM of groomed trails and at an elevation of 2000' the Center receives an abundance of natural snowfall. In the 2002-2003 ski season they had over 130 days of exceptional ski conditions. This coupled with its proximity to downhill skiing at Gore Mountain (ten minutes) and Whiteface Mountain (1 hour) makes Legacy House the ideal winter getaway. In addition there is nearby sledding, tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, winter trail hiking, and family sleigh rides. Upon return from these outdoor activities, it's easy to warm up and unwind while relaxing by the fire watching the snowfall.
